After Leviathan!Sam and Leviathan!Dean go on a killing spree (while driving a '67 Impala) causing the real Sam and Dean to become America's 2nd most wanted criminals, Frank Devereaux advises the boys to lock up the Impala to avoid detection.[1] At first they drive a Pontiac Acadian,[1] then Dean steals a Dodge Challenger.[2] After Bobby's death,[3] Dean drives a Buick Special Deluxe[4] and then, when he's in 1944, a Plymouth Roadking.[5] After making it back to 2012, Sam and Dean drive a Buick Riviera to Seattle.[6]
The large car is a two door 1971 Buick Riviera with a boattailed rear roof and window section and a sweeping side sculpture.[7] It has Oregon plates: SMD-5B2.[4]
The vehicle was bought over for filming from Vancouver Island.[8]
