Bowhunting (archery)
The practice of using a bow and arrow to shoot. Bowhunting has historically been used in hunting and combat, and has become a precision sport.
From 1.08 Bugs
- Sam: Well, Dad never treated you like that. You were perfect. He was all over my case. You don’t remember?
- Dean: Well, maybe he had to raise his voice, but sometimes, you were out of line.
- Sam: Right. Right, like when I said I’d rather play soccer than learn bowhunting.
- Dean: Bowhunting’s an important skill.

Proficiency with crossbows (see Weapons Catalogue) is also an important skill:
- In 1.20 Dead Man's Blood, John, Sam, and Dean carry and use crossbows while raiding a vampire nest.
- In 2.03 Bloodlust, Dean tells Gordon about using a crossbow once against a vampire: "I hit that ugly sucker with a silver-tipped arrow right in his heart."
- In 9.02 Devil May Care, Kevin shoots a crossbow bolt at Dean upon entering the Bunker, but misses.
