Betty is mentioned by Millie Winchester as having called while she was waiting to hear from John. When Latika Dar brings her up as a probable ex, Mary Campbell doesn't respond to her inquiry.

1.11 You've Got a Friend

After the Akrida frame John for the murder of Kyle Reed, Betty arrests him. John's friends attempt to prove his innocence to Betty, even showing her the Men of Letters Clubhouse, without any success. Finally, as John is about to be transferred to state prison, Mary and Carlos use the Bracelet of Erebus on Betty which shows her the truth. Betty helps John's friends break him out and then has Carlos knock her out to make it seem like she was overpowered rather than helped them.

The next day, Betty offers John advice as he prepares to go on the run, and she promises to work with Millie to find proof of John's innocence. In turn, John gives her information on an anti-possession tattoo to protect Betty from Akrida possession.

1.12 The Tears of a Clown

Following the defeat of Limbo the Clown, Millie arrives with the news that she and Betty found a witness who can attest that he saw Kyle arrive at Winchesters Garage after he made the 911 call saying that he was already there. A lawyer that Millie talked to confirms that this is enough to clear John of Kyle's murder.
