Barry is a classmate of Sam's in 1997 who was bullied by Dirk McGregor.

Sam and Dean find out that Barry killed himself at the school the year after Sam met him. They suspect his spirit of causing the deaths in the present day, but when the attacks continue after they salt and burn his bones, they must look elsewhere.
