Asylum 2008 was held on held May 9-11, 2008 in Birmingham, UK.

Jared Padalecki was scheduled to attend but cancelled on 2 April, 2008 due to scheduling conflicts with filming on the remake of Friday the 13th. This was the official statement from the Con organizers:

Adrianne Palicki (Jessica Moore) was also scheduled to attend but cancelled her appearance on April 17th 2008. The official statement from the Con organizers:
- "Due to work commitments on the film 'Legion' Adrianne Palicki is now unable to appear at the May Asylum show, we hope to be able to work with Adrianne in the near future and wish her all the best on her new film and upcoming projects."
