History

April is a rogue reaper who possessed and killed the real April Kelly, assuming her identity after being hired by Bartholomew to track down Castiel.

April first meets Castiel as he is rummaging through a dumpster looking for food, and offers him a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Later that night as April is heading home, she finds Castiel still in an alleyway and takes him in to get him out of the rain. At her apartment she tends to his wounds and lends a sympathetic ear to Cas, which leads to the two having sex. The next morning awakens to find April cutting up a grapefruit with his angel blade, revealing herself to be a reaper and ties him up. As April tortures Castiel for information on Metatron using the angel blade, Castiel tells her he didn't know what Metatron was doing and that he doesn't know what the spell was that he used to expel all angels from Heaven, only that as his grace was the final ingredient, and he may be the key to reversing it. At that moment, Sam and Dean arrive to rescue Castiel, but he is killed by April, who then disarms Dean and flings him and Sam across the room. However, while she is distracted with Sam, Dean is able to sneak up behind her with the angel blade she used on Castiel and stab her in the back.

Ezekiel then resurrects Castiel and heals the damage the reaper did to him. When Sam "comes to," Dean lies and says that the told the reaper if she healed Cas, then he would let her live, but then he killed her anyway.
