After looking at Sam finally decides to use the two bound demons, Sam comments cuffs on how the demon rather than the blade and is pleased that he got "two out of three ain't bad" before moving onwith the cuffs instead of having to kill them all.

After Michael escapes from Dean's mind and possesses [[Rowena]], Dean orders Sam to get the angel cuffs so that they can restrain Michael and throw him in the [[Ma'lak Box]]. However, Michael attacks and prevents them from doing so.

However, Michael still displays the ability to use a few of his powers, causing the ground to shake while distressed over [[God]]'s betrayals and opening a [[portal]] to [[Purgatory]]. After getting the spell they need, Dean releases Michael from the cuffs and allows the archangel to leave.
