Amelia Novak is the wife of Jimmy Novak, who is the vessel for the angel Castiel. Amelia and Jimmy had a daughter together, Claire Novak.
4.20 The Rapture
Amelia's husband Jimmy starts talking about angels and how he's being called upon for something bigger, and she gives him the choice of either getting help, or her taking their daughter to her mothers house away from him. Jimmy is then used as Castiel's vessel for about a year and Amelia doesn't see him for that entire period of time. Jimmy returns and the family is attacked by demons possessing their neighbors, and they all leave with Sam and Dean for safety.
Jimmy leaves Amelia and his daughter and goes with Sam and Dean, realizing he'd only be putting his family in more danger than they were already in. It is then revealed that Amelia was possessed by a demon, presumably since they left their home after being attacked by the two demons in the guise of the Novak's neighbors. Sam exorcised the demon out of her body not long after the reveal. The last we saw of Amelia, she was holding her daughter who had been temporarily hosting Castiel, staring in shock at the angel in her husband's body.
