History
Amelia Novak is the wife of Jimmy Novak, who is the vessel for the angel Castiel. With Jimmy the two have a daughter together, Claire Novak, the family lived in Pontiac, Illinois. After Castiel repossessed Jimmy, Amelia began a search for him and fell prey to Grigori Tamiel. After being rescued by Castiel, Amelia sacrificed herself to save her daughter from Tamiel, leaving Claire an orphan. However, Amelia was finally reunited with her husband in Heaven.

4.20 The Rapture
When Jimmy starts talking about angels, saying that he's being called upon for something bigger, Amelia gives him an ultimatum: Either he gets psychiatric help, or she takes their daughter to her mother's house, away from him. Jimmy leaves to act as Castiel's vessel, and Amelia doesn't see him for almost a year. Jimmy returns and asks to become involved with Amelia and Claire's lives again after Castiel was forcefully removed from his body and sent back to Heaven. Amelia agrees, but as they sit down to dinner, the family is attacked by demons possessing their neighbors, but are rescued by Sam and Dean.
Realizing that he would only be putting his family in more danger by staying with them, Jimmy leaves Amelia and Claire and goes with Sam and Dean.
