Amanda becomes Dean's girlfriend at Truman High in 1997.

Dean meets Amanda on his first day at Truman High, and they are soon making out in the janitor's closet. When John's hunt ends up taking longer than expected, Dean reveals to Sam that Amanda wants him to meet her parents, which causes him to push her away by getting caught making out with another girl. Amanda challenges Dean, saying she can see that behind his cool facade he is lonely. As she walks away Dean yells out that he is a hero, who saves people. The kids around him obviously think he is making it up and he is further humiliated.
