• The morgue attendant's name tag says "J.Manners". This is a shoutout to series producer Kim Manners. Arguably the exchange between him and Dean is another reference - Dean says "John...?" and the attendant replies, "It's Jeff." Jeffrey Dean Morgan plays John Winchester.

• During Dean and Sam's banter over the decapitated corpse (including the "Put the lotion in the basket!" line) they are talking about Silence of the Lambs

• Dean uses the phrase "sleep all day, party all night," which is part of the tag line for The Lost Boys.
