Synopsis

Dean: This isn't how I saw things going when I pushed over that first domino. Thing is, I've had more than a few dances with free will and fate, but as my dad used to say, "Fate is what you make it."

John: And if you're okay with "Omega Man" knowing about us...
John refers to Kyle as "Omega Man" because the movie Mary and Kyle saw together was The Omega Man.
Millie: Fate is what you make it. All right, tell me how to kill a Bela Lugosi so we can stop talking about our feelings already.
Bela Lugosi was a Hungarian-American actor best known for portraying Count Dracula in the 1931 movie Dracula. In Supernatural, Bela Talbot used the alias "Bela Lugosi" in 3.03 Bad Day at Black Rock.
Mary: Holy water hair commercial?

Carlos: Worked in Barstow.

After Lata douses Carlos' long hair in holy water, he whips it around like a model in a hair commercial, flicking holy water on the vampires, which burns them. Holy water was not used against vampires in Supernatural, although it was not established that it was not effective weapon against them. However, the Winchesters have dropped crucifixes into water to make it holy, and John had stated that crosses don't work on vampires which would also suggest holy water wouldn't work on vampires. Holy water affecting vampires is explained with the revelation that The Winchesters takes place in an alternate universe in 1.13 Hey, That’s No Way to Say Goodbye.
Carlos: Last chance to leave, bobos.
In Spanish, calling someone a "bobo" is the equivalent of saying they are stupid.

Minutiae

Mary: He looks more like a Hunter to me. He's not a bad looking one either.
Dean made a similar comment after first seeing Mary in 4.03 In the Beginning.

It is established that this group of vampires is not the ones that killed Mary's cousin Maggie. It also appears that Mary is looking for them, suggesting that the vampires responsible are still out there.

Although not addressed, Rafael Jude Markham might be Mr. Markham, a senior Man of Letters who expelled Cuthbert Sinclair from the order as seen in flashbacks in 10.19 The Werther Project.

This is similar to John's speech to Sam and Dean about vampires in 1.20 Dead Man's Blood.
The vampires in this episode appear to have a less human appearance, specifically a more pronounced brow ridge, than vampires seen in Supernatural. The vampires also appear to have more superhuman abilities than their Supernatural counterparts, as seen by them leaping through the air.
