Libby works hard, and often has to bring her son Tyler to work. When Sam is investigating the restaurant, he watches as she tells her son to do his homework as she has three more hours left on her shift. Tyler complains that he won't be able to concentrate because of the noise, but Libby just continues on with her work.

The next day, Libby is late for work, so gives Tyler money to take the bus to school. He leaves his sketchbook in the car with a drawing of his fear — a giant robot with laser beams shooting from its eyes.

Later, Tyler approaches another boy who is cheating at skeeball and tells him to stop. The boy ignores him until Dean appears and tells him to knock it off. Libby walks over and serves Tyler pizza for lunch, which he says sucks. Dean approaches him and advises that he give his mom some slack. He then spots Tyler's drawing, and Tyler tells him that what scares him the most about robots is their laser eyes. Later, this drawing is stolen, causing Dean to worry that Libby would be the next victim.
