In June 2021, it was announced that [[:Category: The Winchesters|The Winchesters]] was in development from [[Chaos Machine Productions]] and that the CW has given a script commitment for the project which would center on the early life of John and Mary Winchester. Robbie Thompson was named as Executive Producer and showrunner along with E.Ps Jensen and Danneel Ackles.
