Salute to Supernatural Chicago 2007

The first Salute to Supernatural Con was held on November 10-11, 2007, Chicago. It was a combined Salute to Supernatural, Smallville, Buffy and Angel.

Other guests were Nicholas Brendon (Buffy) and Mark Lutz (Angel)

At the con, supposed Master Sergeant Kevin Wise, a Special Forces soldier, presented the guys with a letter from General David Petraeus, commander of the Multi-National Force in Iraq, as well as honorary Special Forces coins from his unit - it turned out, that Kevin Wise was a fraud, merely an imposter, pretending to be Sergeant of the Green Berets in Hollywood. He has also fooled Sean Astin from Lord of the Rings fame. Videos of the presentation can be found below.

FRIDAY NIGHT, November 9 5 pm to 8pm PRE-REGISTRATION: Here is where weekend attendees can get their credentials set and not worry about waiting on line Saturday. This is not a necessity, but a convenience. We can also get you set Saturday or anytime during the convention, but we like to offer this option because it is fun for folks to get set and then know they are ready. We'll also have printed schedules for you to pick up.

8 pm to 10 pm NEW PARTY EVENT: Not part of any packages. We've received a lot of e-mails asking about doing a pre-convention party so we cooked up something cool that has been a smash hit at other conventions we've run. Check out details below about the all-new SALUTE to SUPERNATURAL, SMALLVILLE, & BUFFY/ANGEL "BINGO BASH & CHAMPAGNE/CHOCOLATE PARTY"

SATURDAY November 10 10:30 am: Pre-Registration for Gold Weekend Patrons
11:30 am: Pre-Registration for Preferred Weekend Patrons
12:15: Registration Opens for all Patrons
12:30 pm: Registration Open, Vendors Room Open, Theatre Functions Begin. Appearances on-stage by Samantha Ferris, Fredric Lehne, Nicholas Brendon, and Mark Lutz. Trivia Competition, Music Video Screenings, Costume Parade, Auction. Photo Ops with previously mentioned guests as well.
9:00 pm: Steve Carlson in Concert, Complimentary for Gold Weekend and Preferred Weekend Patrons and those with specific tickets for this event which are available on-line or at the convention
10:30 pm: Celebrity Dessert Party and Centerpiece Contest (Open to Gold Weekend Patrons Only). Featuring drop-ins tentatively by Nicholas Brendon, Samantha Ferris, and Frederic Lehne.

SUNDAY November 11 Note: early start so we can get the guys back home to shoot Supernatural!
7:00 am: Breakfast and Charity Silent Auction with tentative guest drop-ins by Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles and Mark Lutz. Photographs only allowed when guests enter the room please. This event is exclusive to GOLD WEEKEND PATRONS only
7:40 am Registration Opens
8:20 am: Photo Ops with Jensen Ackles and Jared Padelecki for those with photo op tickets (sold out). Order of photo ops will be specified when full schedule is placed on site.
8:30 am: Vendors Room and Theatre Opens
9:40 am: Jensen Ackles and Jared Padelecki on stage Guests will appear separately and together!
11:10 am: Autographs with Jensen Ackles and Jared Padelecki
1:15 pm to 6pm Theatre Events Continue including Appearances by Mark Lutz, Steve Carlson, Trivia Competition, Music Video Screenings, Supernatural Underground Panel, Auctions and more. Photo Ops with Steve Carlson and Mark Lutz as well.
