Investigating the strange deaths of Matthew Hammond and Christopher Fisher, Dean heads to Neal's Tavern. Whilst there, he meets Mia the bartender. Masquerading as a cop, Dean asks for information on Hammond and Fisher, but she tells him she wasn't working last week. Lips loosened by alcohol, Dean opens up to Mia about the guilt he'd been feeling over killing Amy Pond. She advises him that if it was necessary, there's no use feeling guilty about it. The two soon begin to flirt, and plan to get together after Mia finishes work. Unbeknownst to Dean, Osiris is using the bar as a place to pick up drinkers who air their guilt to the bartenders, and he is abducted shortly after he leaves.

When Mia finishes work, she waits outside the bar for Dean, but only finds his cell phone. When Sam calls for the third time, she picks up and reveals Dean isn't there. When Sam arrives in person to pick up Dean's phone from her, she tells him she hopes Dean is ok before pointing Sam to where she found the phone.
