While questioning Jay, Charlie, and Vernon about tarot cards, due to Vernon having used them in his act, Vernon and Charlie send Dean to meet a man who goes by the name Chief whom Patrick Vance supposedly crossed years ago.

On his way to meet with Chief, Dean walks along Bleeker Street until he comes to a neon sign saying 426. Dean knocks on the bars on the door. The chain-link door swings open, revealing a young man who eyes Dean. After Dean tells him he is there to see Chief, Dean is led downstairs where he waits alone. A door opens and Dean turns to face it; a large man dressed in leather steps through. Taken aback, Dean realizes that the magicians have sent him on a wild goose chase. Dean tells Chief there has been a misunderstanding. However, Chief thinks this is a part of Dean's game and asks Dean for his safeword, much to to Dean's discomfort.
