After using her break to have sex with Dean, Anne Marie heads back to work at the bar. Sometime later, an ex named Matt appears and drags Anne Marie out of the bar, which garners the attention of Dean. As Matt begins to get rough with Anne Marie, Dean intervenes and begins to pummel him into a bloody pulp, and tells him not to contact or even think about her again.
Anne Marie later shows up in Dean and Crowley's motel room, offering Dean a glass of water after his night of heavy drinking and antagonizing patrons at the Black Spur. When Dean tells her they should "go somewhere" Anne Marie turns him down, saying they barely know each other and that he is drunk. She tells Dean that him beating up Matt had nothing to do with her "honor," and that while she thought he may have been a good guy playing bad, he cuts her off and says he's "The kind of guy who sleeps with every skank in every small-town dive that he passes through."
She leaves Dean telling him that she is screwed up enough to believe she actually deserved to be spoken to like that.
